These terms are the agreement between you and Orbit, an independent app operated from Queensland, Australia. They apply when you use the Orbit iPhone app, widgets, App Clip, and getorbit.link. Creating an account means you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not create an account.
You need an account to use Orbit. You can sign up with email, Sign in with Apple, or Google. Keep your details accurate. You are responsible for your password (if you use one) and for what happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access. You must be at least 16.
Orbit lets you capture people you meet, keep notes and voice notes, track follow-ups, and share a digital card. Widgets and Lock Screen QR show your card details on this iPhone. Orbit can draft follow-up messages. Those drafts are suggestions. You decide whether to send them. You are responsible for what you send.
We may change or pause features as we improve the product. If we shut the whole service down, we will give reasonable notice and a way to export your data.
You keep ownership of what you put into Orbit. You give us permission to host, process, back up, and display it so we can run the service for you. That permission ends when you delete the content or the account.
The Orbit name, logo, and app design stay ours. You may not copy them or suggest we endorse you, except as a normal user of the product.
Orbit is for recording people you actually meet. When you add someone, you must have a lawful basis to hold their information, and you must handle it under the privacy law that applies to you. Do not use Orbit to collect information about someone who has asked you not to. Do not import or store lists you have no right to keep.
Do not use Orbit to:
We can suspend or close an account that breaches these terms. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you first.
Your card is public on purpose. Anyone with the link or QR can view the fields you publish. Only put what you are willing to make public, and only details you are entitled to publish.
Anyone can report a public card that looks wrong or abusive via Report this card on the page, or by emailing hello@orbitnetworking.app. We review reports within 24 hours and may suspend or remove cards that breach these terms.
Orbit has a free plan with limits on people and events, and paid plans that lift those limits. Current prices are shown in the app at the time you subscribe.
If you leave a paid plan and you are over the free limits, your existing data stays. You cannot add more until you are under the free cap or you upgrade again.
Scan, voice, drafts, and Orbit Assistant use Google Gemini. We ask you to agree before that first happens (Agree and continue). Output can be wrong. Check anything that matters before you rely on it or send it. You are responsible for messages you send, whether or not Orbit drafted them.
We do not send messages on your behalf.
Orbit talks to services we do not control, including Apple (Sign in, Contacts, notifications, speech), Google (sign-in and Gemini, if you use them), your Mail and Messages apps, and any website your card links to. Their terms apply to those products.
We work to keep Orbit up. We do not promise it will never go down. Brief outages, maintenance, and app updates are part of running a live product.
You can stop using Orbit and delete your account at any time from Settings in the app. Deletion permanently removes your Orbit data, as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or end your account if you materially breach these terms.
Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For a major failure you are entitled to a replacement or refund, and to compensation for other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have goods or services remedied if they are not of acceptable quality and the failure is not major.
Nothing in these terms cuts down those rights. Subject to that, and only as far as the law allows, our total liability arising out of these terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect loss, lost profits, or lost data.
We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect. Keeping the account after that date means you accept the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. You and we submit to the courts of that place.
